Spy photos of the next-generation Ford CR-V have just folded in from non-urban Ohio.
The camo-clad vehicle can’capital t hide the extensively restyled body planned for the 2018 model year. Honda’s plan is to grow how big the strong-selling crossover, while bringing the whole package upscale.
Most noticeable on this test mule are taillights that wrap around the lower edges of the rear windowpane, reminiscent of newer Honda models like the HR-V.
Rumors are plentiful of a seven-seat version of the CR-V, which would need an increase in length over it’s current dimensions to drag off. Unfortunately, this vehicle had it’s rearmost side windows protected, so there was no peak of a third line.
Honda will likely field the turbocharged four cylinder within the new CR-V, with gossips of a possible plug-in hybrid variant. The 2018 CR-V is anticipated to be available in the middle of 2017.
